Day Trading the Moon Based on Price, Time and The Law of Vibration

Astro day traders use the times when the Moon or the planets form aspects during the day to time intra-day turning points or reversals. One of the strongest of all possible daily trade set-ups occurs when price is at the correct planetary price level at or very close to the time of a planetary aspect. This means that price and time are equal. To simplify the entire process of analysis and use of this technique, you can focus solely on the aspects of the Moon during trading hours. You have to be patient and wait for these ideal trade set-ups to come to you, but when they do occur, it is almost like money lying on the ground in front of you just waiting to be picked up!

The risk factor is always pre-defined by the planetary price level reached or planetary line that triggers the reversal. Profit targets are also predetermined by the planetary price lines and technical tools are always used for entry and stop-loss points once a new trend is established. The time frame I trade using for this timing technique is the 4 minute chart. I use the 4 minute time frame because it is based on the rotation of the earth which moves roughly at the rate of 1 degree every 4 minutes. The reversal times do not always occur precisely at the time of the lunar aspect, but usually within a few 4 minute price bars of the exact time of the aspect.

A perfect trade set-up happens to unfold on Monday, May 17th, 2004, when the Moon forms a trine aspect to the planet Jupiter at 07:03AM, PDT. The May 17th date happens to also be one of the strongest reversal dates of the year as both the planets Venus and Neptune also turned retrograde. I like trading reversals off of the trine aspect because I have observed reversals to be stronger and to occur more often based on this aspect of 120 degrees. One reason why this may be so is because planets also come together on the “Universal Clock” or “Wheel of 24” when an aspect of 120 degrees occurs as 24 times 5 equals 120. Refer to Jeanne Long’s “Universal Clock” book for more information or the “Universal Clock” in the Galactic Trader program.

To prepare to take action, we have to first set up the planetary lines at the correct settings for the lunar aspects to occur. This is part of the homework we must do before the market opens every day. The live planetary time clock in Galactic Trader indicates the precise times when lunar and planetary aspects occur during each day. For example, on May 17th, the Moon trine Jupiter aspect occurs at 07:03AM, PDT and the Moon sextile Saturn aspect occurs at 09:44AM, PDT (see live planetary time clock on price chart). Since the planets Jupiter and Saturn are also sextile (60 degrees) each other, (this aspect became exact on May 1st), the planetary lines set at the 60 setting for the 6th harmonic, sextile aspect for the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn is the correct and best setting for these lunar aspects on May 17th. These planetary lines will be very close together on this day with the Moon exactly crossing the Jupiter and Saturn lines at the time of the aspect. The planetary price levels based on these planetary harmonics on this day for the June E-Mini S & P are at 1078, 1084 and 1090. Notice these levels are all at 6 pt. increments based on the aspect of 60 degrees.

The perfect trade set up unfolds when price, trending lower, hits the 1078 price target, (one tick away at 1078.25), within five minutes of the exact time of the Moon trine Jupiter aspect! On the chart example the bar is colored at the time of the Moon/Jupiter aspect. Since price is at the correct price level almost at the precise time of the aspect, this triggers a reversal back up based on price equaling time. The technical tool I am using in this example to enter the trade is from the Fibonacci Trader program or the combo Fibonacci/Galactic Trader and is called the “flip it.”

The entry point and buy order should be placed at about 1081, when price breaks above this technical indicator. The initial stop loss placement is just below the 1078 planetary lines. I like to give it a few ticks below the planetary line before I am taken out of the trade with a small loss. So if the stop loss is at 1077 and entry point is at 1081, the initial risk on this ideal trade set up is 4 pts. or $200 per contract.

What is the profit target? That would be at 1090 or 9 pts. above the entry point at 1081 and 12 pts. above 1078, the planetary price level that triggered the reversal. What about 1084? Isn’t that also a profit point too? Yes and No. This could be in initial target to take some contracts off the table for a quick profit; however, the probabilities are more likely that the 1090 level will be reached on this day. This has to do with the “law of vibration” as Gann used to refer to it. Since the reversal was based on the trine aspect of 120 degrees, then the vibration of 12 becomes active. The number 12 corresponds to the aspect of 120 if you divide this number by 10. What was the high for the day? 1089.25. This was just three ticks away from this number. Close enough for detective work!

However, price did not hit the 1090 target without first pulling back during the day. So if you were using this “flip it” indicator as your trailing stop, you may have got stopped out at about 1083 with a 2 pt. profit. If this was the case using the same technical indicator, you would have then re-entered the trade at about 1085 when price broke back above the “flip it” indicator and exited the trade once price approached the 1090 profit target.

Since the May 17th date was also a key, potential longer term reversal day based on the planets Venus and Neptune both turning retrograde, another trade strategy would also be to take a position trade on some contracts based on the same 1081 entry point and 1077 initial stop loss point. Longer term this would have paid off big time. As of this writing on June 14th, the E-Mini made a high on June 9th at 1143. Price never traded lower than 1078.25 since the May 17th date. The time for the low triggered at 07:03AM, PDT when the Moon formed the trine aspect to Jupiter at the correct planetary price level.

Your Winning and Losing Degrees for Trading

As traders, a tremendous amount of study is demanded of us constantly. Once we get to a certain point of understanding of the markets and learn or develop a winning trading system that puts the odds in our favor, the next crucial step is when our real work begins.

This step involves the practical application of what we have learned or the real life experience we gain from trading our system. This is why knowledge alone is not power at all. It’s taking the right actions based on what we know that matters. This step may take a number of years of practice to gain the experience and develop the right habits as successful traders. The reason this stage takes so long is that we begin to have a close encounter with ourselves. We get to know who we truly are inside. This includes all of our psychological and emotional strengths and weaknesses. I believe another one of the essential components of knowing ourselves has to do with understanding our own individual astrological natal chart. This leads to an understanding that own winning and losing periods in the markets are also based on predictable astrological cycles.

I remember a trip that was made to Las Vegas a little over a year ago. I am not a big gambler and have no system for gambling other than just playing the slots, (where the odds are against me), but only at specific time periods when I am usually in a winning astrological cycle. I almost always come home a winner following this discipline.

This trip was no exception. I planned out the time periods, some stronger than others, that I will play. This requires tremendous discipline to work since the temptation to play all the time is being beamed at you. The same kind of discipline is necessary to trade the markets successfully. We have to be patient and let the winning trades come to us based on the right conditions. I noted that the best time period this trip was when the Moon was to cross over my Jupiter in combination with other winning transits on one evening. Not only did I end up winning the largest amount of the whole trip during this time period, but so were the family members that were with me as well. As soon as the Moon began to hit 19 ½ degrees of Taurus, and began to form a stressful square to my Saturn, I noticed things started to cool off. I started to begin to lose more than I was winning at the slots. After giving a little back, I decided to quit and come home a winner. If I had continued to play, I honestly believe I would have given it all back and then some. My cycles turned negative for gambling the following day before coming home, so once again I had to discipline myself to not gamble at all on this day. It was quite a challenge, but managed to do other things in the land of entertainment.

In my own trading, I have observed the same repeating cycles over and over again for winning and losing. These are based on what I refer as “winning and losing degrees for trading.” If you are a day trader, watch the Moon. You don’t have to take my word for it. Do a back test of your winning and losing trades and make a note of the exact degree of the Moon. You will notice that the majority of the time, you win or lose in the markets when the Moon hits these same degrees.

Since no trading system is perfect, there will always be times when it just doesn’t work out the way we were anticipating. I remember another particular day I was in a winning trade. The Moon was at 28 – 29 degrees of Gemini and was forming a trine to my progressed planets at late degrees of Aquarius. I trade off of reversals at the daily planetary price harmonics (planetary lines) that I determine each day. I trade on both sides of the market. I closed out my long for a profit and went short at the correct time and price point. The trade began to go as planned, but then suddenly reversed sharply for a small loss. I gave back most of my gains for the day because I forgot to check that the Moon’s entrance into Cancer at 00 – 01 degrees was at a losing degree for me. The Moon formed a square to my progressed Saturn. And so it is. These cycles re-occur continually. It pays to know your own chart and cycles for winning and losing.

Relative performance: There is such a thing as relative performance when trading your system based on your winning and losing trading degrees or transits. I have seen some traders, who are very experienced, exceptional traders actually win at times during their own losing periods. Fortunately, just because you may be in a losing trading cycle, doesn’t mean you have to lose. It can also simply mean that you will probably under perform during this time period. This can mean you make gains that are less than usual or you that you have actual losses. In either case, it pays to know about your own personal trading cycles. This can make a dramatic difference in your results if you integrate this knowledge with your other trading disciplines.

As an example, I have illustrated my own personal winning and losing trading degrees for the first 18 degrees of Aries: 00, losing; 01, losing; 02, losing; 03, losing; 04, losing; 05, losing; 06, mixed; 07, mixed; 08, winning; 09, losing; 10, winning; 11, losing; 12, losing; 13, losing; 14 losing; 15, winning; 16, losing; 17, losing; 18, losing. As you can see, the first 18 degrees of Aries are challenging for me personally because of stressful aspects triggered, but there are some degrees that can be rewarding. You should do this for every degree of the 360 degree zodiac. You will have to invest some time doing this, but it will be well worth your efforts. If you are astrologically inclined, I have a spreadsheet that can help you with this task that I can send to you thanks to Fran Rackow, CPA.

Winning with Astrology

Astrological Cycles

Winning and losing, whether it involves speculation in the financial markets, gambling, sports competitions, or even court cases, occurs in predictable cycles based on astrology. Practically everyone recognizes when he or she is on a winning streak; everything just seems to flow the right way. Of course, the converse is also true. Becoming aware in advance of your own cycles for profit or loss, and winning or losing, can help you plan and navigate your endeavors with greater success.

Astrology – the Missing Link

Before you put your own time or money on the line, it is essential that you check out what your own astrological cycles are telling you. Professional speculators, regardless of what they speculate on, have also mastered the art of self-discipline, use strict money management, and have a valid system that puts the odds in their favor. This is what separates them from the amateurs. Astrology is the missing link in any system that will dramatically increase your winning percentage. It does, however, require discipline on your part to follow it. Here is a brief lesson involving the basics of astrology and some of the things I look for in determining your future cycles.

Astrology is a symbolic language, and certain planets are associated with luck and money, and others are associated with losses and setbacks. The same thing applies with the different aspects of astrology. For example, the lucky money planets traditionally are Venus and Jupiter. If you combine these planets in a favorable aspect with the planet Pluto, for example, then you have the potential for big luck and money. The planet Pluto is associated with big money and power. You combine Venus or Jupiter in a favorable aspect with the planet Uranus, and it can bring sudden and unexpected luck and money. The planet Uranus is connected with surprises among other things.

Astrology and Speculation

The Sun, in my opinion, is also treated as a benefic planet and is very important for speculators, as it is the natural ruler of the sign Leo and the 5th house of speculation in astrology. The Sun also corresponds to the person in charge or whom the spotlight is shining on. The Sun represents the Ego, your true self filled with inspiration, creativity, and vitality. Stressful aspects to or from the Sun can bring disharmony with one’s inner or outer being, and cause the Ego to become out of balance. A well-balanced person is always humble and keeps things in proper perspective. An over-inflated ego can be one of the biggest causes for loss in the business of speculation.

Mercury is the communication planet that governs the conscious thinking process. It is also considered a neutral planet and thus takes on the shadings of the other planets in aspect. Transits to or from Mercury can indicate how well you are communicating and reasoning. For example, Mercury in stressful aspect to Jupiter or Neptune can bring foolishness and poor judgment calls. In challenging aspect to Saturn, can bring pessimism and disagreements. In harmonious aspect to Uranus, can bring flashes of intuition and quick reasoning and understanding.

Mars and Saturn, the Malefics

Mars and Saturn, traditionally are considered the malefics, and can bring losses and setbacks. Mars can also be a big trigger and timer for positive things depending on the planets involved in the aspect. Stressful transits to or from Saturn can bring hard lessons and setbacks. It is equally important to understand when not to take a risk as well as the best times to do so. If you proceed forward with a hard aspect involving Saturn, it is like attempting to drive through an intersection when the light is red! Saturn is the stop sign or red light that is really there to protect you. This can frustrate a lot of people that want instant gratification or want things now. Patience, another Saturnian word, is necessary when you are going through this kind of cycle to avoid unnecessary losses or setbacks.

Astrology Plus Discipline – a Winning Combination

The lower octave of Neptune is a planet associated with delusions, disappointment, and addictive forms of behavior. In fact, if someone was born with Neptune forming stressful aspects, they can have an addictive personality, and can easily break the rules and discipline necessary to win in the long run. Like I mentioned earlier, astrology won’t help someone unless they can use it in a disciplined way. Obsessive and compulsive people will always break the rules because of fantasy, (Neptune), which always leads to disappointment. The higher octave of Neptune however can bring inspiration and faith that is always helpful once a good system for winning is in place.

The Moon is the fastest moving planet, (we treat it as a planet because we are looking at things geocentrically from the earth’s perspective). The Moon represents our moods and feelings at any given moment and is also an important timer for when things can occur in our lives. Favorable aspects from the Moon in your chart during the day are usually associated with winning or feelings of well-being.

The Aspects

The aspects in astrology are divisions of the circle by degrees and have symbolic meanings too. The conjunction, (0 degrees), can be positive if planets like Venus or Jupiter are involved, or negative if planets like Saturn or Neptune are involved. The sextile (60 degrees), and trine (120 degrees) are harmonious and favorable aspects. The planets involved in the aspect will determine how favorable. The stressful aspects that can produce obstacles and setbacks are the semi-square (45 degrees), square (90 degrees), sesqui-square (135 degrees), inconjunct (150 degrees), and opposition, (180 degrees). However, I have found that some of these aspects are also associated with significant wins as well, if there are sextiles and trines also present at the same time.

The Zodiac Signs

The sign a planet is in also colors the way it is expressed. For example the fire signs, Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius, give a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and optimism. The earth signs, Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, give a lot of practicality but can also be prone to pessimism like the water signs. The water signs, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, are emotional, protective and prone to mood swings when speculating. This can affect their decision-making and ability to follow their system. The air signs, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, are mental, communicative signs, and it is these types can out smart or strategize the other side. The cardinal signs, Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, give a lot of energy and action. The fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, give strength, endurance, and stamina. The mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces, give adaptability and ingenuity, but also can be indecisive.

The Houses

The houses in astrology correspond to the different areas of one’s life. Here are some of the houses as examples. The 5th house is the house of speculation, games, and competitions. The 10th house corresponds to ones public image, status and success. The 12th house is the house of secrets and ones private life. Frequently I have observed that the 12th house can block energy and bring frustration and disappointment when speculating. The 2nd, 5th, 8th, and 11th houses are considered your money houses and are an important element in winning or making money.

As you can imagine, integration of all these astrological factors requires skill and expertise from a seasoned astrologer to determine the right combinations that will increase your odds of winning. If you are seriously interested in knowing when your winning and losing cycles will be, please send me an e-mail or give me a call to make an appointment. I will always do my best to help you achieve your goals and win more times than you lose. This, of course, is the name of the game.

The Coming Collapse of the U.S. Dollar and Federal Reserve?

Here’s another newsflash you may have read about before. About one hundred years ago, just before the Federal Reserve act of 1913, our nation was the most prosperous in the world. The U.S. had virtually no national debt. We had the largest middle class in the world and Mom stayed home to raise the kids!

What many Americans are still clueless about is that there is nothing “Federal” about the Federal Reserve and they have no reserves. They are a private corporation owned by private bankers. To illustrate how this monetary system operates. Let’s assume the U.S. government needs 10 billion dollars. The FRB (Federal Reserve Bank) prints 10 billion from their printing press and loans it to the government in exchange for a 10 billion bond. The government now owes 10 billion to the FRB, and to add insult to injury, owes interest on top of it. In fact, most of our taxes presently go towards paying only the interest from the debt we owe! In my opinion, the Federal Reserve system of banking is simply a monetary system designed to control and enslave the U.S. government and its citizens.

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 came into law on Dec. 23rd, 1913 at 06:02PM, in Washington, DC. To quote former President Woodrow Wilson:

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”

-Woodrow Wilson, after signing the Federal Reserve into existence.

Astrologically, the Sun was at 1½ degrees of Capricorn forming an opposition to Pluto at 00 degrees of Cancer on Dec. 23, 1913. The other chart I use is for when the first Federal Reserve Bank in New York opened for business on Nov. 16, 1914 at 10:00AM in New York. In this chart, Saturn is forming a conjunction to Pluto at about 1½ degrees of Cancer. In the United States chart for July 4th, 1776, the planet Venus is almost exactly at the same degree at 2 degrees of Cancer! Venus represents the money and things of value. The FRB Saturn/Pluto forms a conjunction to the USA Venus. My astrological interpretation of this aspect: the FRB was created to devalue the US dollar and bankrupt the United States.

For astrological forecasting purposes, we want to look for “shared degrees” of planets in important birth charts. The Sun, Venus, Saturn, and Pluto are from 0 – 2 degrees in the cardinal signs of Capricorn and Cancer in all of these charts. Transiting Pluto is already at these early degrees in the sign of Capricorn since the end of November, 2008. Let the games begin.

Astrologers have been talking about the great “cardinal climax” happening from 2010 – 2012. It almost sounds like a rated “X” movie! This is when Saturn in Libra forms a T-square configuration with Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn lasting until the year 2012. What are the most significant time periods is when Saturn and Uranus cross the 0 – 2 degree cardinal points forming hard 90 degree aspects to the FRB Sun, Saturn, Pluto, and USA Venus. When this occurs, it will be what is called a “cardinal cross” when four planets are all 90 degrees from each other in the cardinal signs.

Saturn is the next planet to join the action. Saturn crosses 0 – 2 degrees of Libra in the month of November, 2009. I would expect something of significance in the financial markets and with the U.S. dollar. The dollar will probably be under more downward pressure. This is also the first pass of transiting Saturn in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn.

The planet Saturn turns retrograde again in January 2010 and will cross 0 – 2 degrees of Libra while retrograde once more in the month of March, 2010. But what is of most significance is during the summer of 2010 when Uranus first enters the sign of Aries. This occurs beginning the end of May, 2010 through the middle of August, 2010. Jupiter also enters the sign of Aries conjunct Uranus in the month of June.

On July 21st, 2010, the planet Saturn enters the sign of Libra, leaving the sign of Virgo for good for another 29 years. Let’s throw a going away party! During the months of July and August of 2010, the planets Jupiter and Uranus in Aries, Saturn in Libra, and Pluto in Capricorn will all be at the very early degrees of the cardinal signs forming a cardinal cross to the FRB Sun, Saturn, Pluto, and USA Venus! (See attached quad-wheel). This is a once in a lifetime transit that may cause a complete collapse or very serious devaluation of the US dollar as we know it and major crisis within the Federal Reserve. Be prepared and protected! We can prosper by being in the right sectors that perform very well during times of inflation and a weak dollar such as precious metals and commodities. Got Gold?
